Hertz Gold Drives

 

The Objective

Create curated content for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards monthly newsletter email that would inspire members to travel with Hertz.

Inspired to Drive

Creating content around iconic road trips in America for a rental car company was an obvious choice. Route 66. Florida Keys. Coastal New England. PCH. There was a wealth of content possibilities that could be generated throughout the year.

In addition to being part of the monthly newsletter, we also created a solo email campaign focused only on the Gold Drive to drive traffic.

When it came to building the site experience, we held to four guiding principles:

  1. Beautiful - the photography would be visually stunning
  2. Inspirational - the copy content would evoke a desire to go out and travel
  3. Accessible - we wanted the experience to be excellent across all devices
  4. Elevate - lastly, we wanted every aspect (from the user experience and design to the writing) to reinforce that Hertz is an elevated brand that inspires great travel experiences

What started out as creating a basic content piece on email became a series of unique site experiences and great potential for future integrations into other channels (currently pending).
